Japanese whaling boats vs animal rights

Ever read about the ongoing war between Japanese whalers and animal rights groups? Basically the Japanese are hauling in large amounts of whales to put on their plates and the activist groups aren't too happy. I think the main issue was that the whailing boats were going outside their territory and into Austrailian waters but I may be wrong.

Anyway, I found it hilarious when I read about the latest news on the 'war'. The Japanese whaling boats have been kitted out to fight the annoying activists with military sonic devices that must create some sort of shockwave to repel them and they also have powerful water cannons onboard so they can spray some activists off their feet. Personally, I'd love to be on that whaling boat controlling these devices.

The animal rights groups retaliate by throwing stink bombs on board the whaling vessel and trying to tangle the propellers of the Japanese boat by putting ropes into the water.

It was also reported recently that one of the Japanese vessels 'accidentaly' collided with a million dollar, high-tech, fibreglass vessel belonging to the activists.
